A couple of weeks back, Jan Aertsen, Services Director EMEA/APAC at Pentaho sent me an email with an implicit challenge:
In services, we use a handy .jsp file to show variable and other useful system information about the Pentaho BA server. I bet you could do this in Sparkl in 1 hour...
And who doesn't love a good challenge? :p
Granted, took more than one hour - maybe two or three! And I also got the help of almighty Will Gorman on the specific code for getting Pentaho session variables, picked up the Reporting Wizard's brains for some PRD information and the Webdetails UX skills for making the app look great.
In the end, here it is:
Get it from the Pentaho Marketplace, and of course the code is also on github. Bare in mind that even though it's restricted for administrators only, this is a developer's tool and not something you'll want to have on a production environment.
